This chemise is lovely. Originally when I unpacked it I thought it was going to be too big, but once I put the corset over it, the chemise worked perfectly. The fabric is soft and airy so you can breath in it throughout the day. Very pleased with this purchase!

lovely soft little cotton shift. Well made, as all Caroline's garments are, but the best thing about these shifts is that they perform well as an historical undergarment should. Not merely costumes, I wear these garments on the daily and can say that the shifts I purchased from Caroline do the job that they are meant to, they are a perfect base layer under stays and keep me cool, comfortable and dry. They are durable, wash and wear well, even after daily wear and daily washing. Although my favourite shifts are the ones she makes out of linen, there are times when a light little cotton shift is called for, and these are perfect for such an occasion. Highly recommend.
