The shirt, shift or 18th-century chemise, in the 18th century, was worn under the corset. This shift is worn as the first layer of the historical costume. The ruffles are spread over the neck and elbows. The shift is made in a light cotton batiste, so it is slightly transparent. The large sleeves bring a lot of comfort to the garment that can be used as a nightgown.
The neckline is adjustable with a cord, to adapt the contour to the neckline of the corset and historical dress.
