    Black Watch Tartan

The deeply admired Black Watch tartan presents itself with striking bands of dark green and navy blue, boldly interwoven with dramatic black stripes.

This captivating design is not only prestigious but holds a special place in Scottish history as the official Government tartan. Named after the valiant 'Black Watch' companies formed in the early 18th century to defend the Scottish Highlands, this pattern carries an air of courage and allegiance to the Royal Highland Regiment.

What makes the Black Watch tartan particularly magnificent is its 'open tartan' status. You needn't belong to a specific clan to wear its eye-catching design. Simply donning this exquisite pattern allows you to embrace and pay homage to the compelling world of Scottish traditions.

    MacKenzie Tartan

The Mackenzie Tartan holds historical significance as the regimental tartan of the Seaforth Highlanders. It was initially established in 1778 by Mackenzie, Earl of Seaforth.

The modern Mackenzie tartan, as we know it today, evolved from the military tartan of Mackenzie Lord MacLeod's 73rd Highland Regiment (later adopted by the Seaforth Highlanders). This design drew inspiration from an early version of the Black Watch tartan, first developed around 1729, with the addition of black, white, and red lines.
