Finding the Right Size:
Please refer to the size chart to select the correct size for your dress. Keep in mind that historical costumes don't follow standard sizing, so getting an accurate fit is important for comfort and effectiveness. Here's a complete guide on how to measure yourself.

Custom Sizing:
If your measurements don't align perfectly with the sizes on the chart, we recommend choosing the "custom size" option. After placing your order, submit your measurements through our Custom Request Form as soon as possible. Delay in receiving your measurements will also delay your order.

Important Note:
Made-to-order items cannot be returned. Please make sure you're certain about the size you choose. If unsure, opt for the custom fit option.

To care for your costume, we recommend dry cleaning only, ensuring your costume remains in pristine condition for all your historical adventures.

· After putting on your historical underwear, step into the dress by sliding it over your head.

· Allow the back of the dress to hang behind you, and position the front panel against your abdomen (ensuring the waistband covers the lower ribs).

· Secure the front panel around your waist with the cotton ties.

· Finally, put your arms through the sleeves and arrange the train folds.

· To finish, thread the cord through the eyelets from bottom to top and conceal the knot in the neckline.

All our garments, including the LOUISE dresses, are handmade in our workshop in Spain. Each piece is crafted with love and care, using the finest materials to ensure excellent quality. These garments are meant to be cherished for years to come.

Please note that our items are meticulously handmade, which means it will take some time for us to create them. The typical production time for a LOUISE dress in linen ranges from 5-6 weeks, depending on the current order volume. Keep in mind that the processing time does not include shipping.

Really great and beautiful piece.
Arrived on time and was very comfortable to wear.
Even with the strings tied around the waist, I didn't notice it throughout the day. Also got lots of compliments on this dress. Thanks you

This dress is absolutely breathtaking! It fits perfectly, and it is even more beautiful than the pictures online. The material is the highest quality, and the stitching is so well done that this dress will likely last me for years to come. This is important because I will wear it often for museum functions and as a tour guide for our historic houses. I believe this dress will serve me well for years to come.

Further, the owner, Caroline, could not have been more helpful. I was nervous about ordering something sight unseen; especially from so far away. But she maintained regular contact with me which made this entire process so easy. I am already in speaking with her about purchasing a shawl or cloak from her in the fall.

I would highly recommend Caroline, and her company, to anyone. You won't be sorry! Jude

I'm in this dress nightly so I often need alterations to perfect it, but this might be my favorite dress doing tours in costume for 20 years. The back ties I admit weren't my favorite thing and preferred materiel to the thin leatherette but I can't say enough about how much I adore the dress! I had the skirt ties modified as the ribbon was thin, I worried about wear, as I'm in this 6 nights a week outside. More than average I'd think. The lines are flattering and so well made. The bustle is a favorite too! It arrived in time for a magazine photo shoot and felt transported as soon as I put it on. Absolutely beautiful piece and craftsmanship

The dress fits like a glove and is a joy to wear. Atelier Serraspina was helpful and certainly delivered on promises.
I was concerned that the linnen might crease too easily, but it turns out that it suits the look of an authentic dress. The fabric is heavy and falls well.
The chemise is slightly overprized compared to the dress, but the ensemble is convincing and comfortable.
