All About Heloise

Introducing the HELOISE linen skirt, a beautiful and easy-to-wear garment designed for historical costumes. This ankle-length skirt features two panels of linen fabric (3 panels for sizes x1, x2, x3), joined at the sides with an open upper end on each side for effortless wear.

The pleats on this historical skirt are inspired by the 18th-century style. The front pleats extend from the central box towards the sides, while the back pleats start from the sides and converge in the middle of the back.

In the accompanying photos, the petticoat is shown layered over a bum pad, which adds volume to the hips and accentuates the waist's finesse.

· 100% European linen
· Medium weight linen - 6.05 oz/yd² / 205 g/m²
· Prewashed so it didn't shrink anymore
· Mechanically softened so it is very soft and especially pleasant for your skin
· Fabric woven according to universally accepted quality requirements which correspond to OEKO-TEX 100 standards

Finding the Right Size:
Please refer to the size chart to select the correct size for your skirt. Keep in mind that historical costumes don't follow standard sizing, so getting an accurate fit is important for comfort and effectiveness. Here's a complete guide on how to measure yourself.

Important Note:
Made-to-order items cannot be returned. Please make sure you're certain about the size you choose.

· Machine washable 30-40C (95-105F)
- Tumble dry at low setting

To wear the petticoat, follow these steps: Tie the ties of the back panel, making a knot at the front. Then, adjust the front panel like an apron, wrapping it twice around the waist.

In the photos, the petticoat is worn over a bum pad to add volume to the hips and accentuate the waist.

All our garments, including the HELOISE skirts, are handmade in our workshop in Spain. Each piece is crafted with love and care, using the finest materials to ensure excellent quality. These garments are meant to be cherished for years to come.

Please note that our items are meticulously handmade, which means it will take some time for us to create them. The typical production time for an HELOISE skirt ranges from 3-4 weeks, depending on the current order volume. Keep in mind that the processing time does not include shipping.

Magnificent!! I wore this petticoat underneath the matching dress from this shop, and they look absolutely wonderful. Amazing quality, and it shipped much faster than expected! I will include a photo here of what the petticoat looked like before I added my top layer.

It was more than just the stomacher. It was the full outfit. And I could not believe how fast she completed this and the detail and workmanship is artistry. Caroline was wonderful to work with, always responded quickly. Helped me decide on the best style for me, and even assisted with the fabric choices. The dress is gorgeous and fits perfectly. I can wait to wear it out. I have 2 functions coming up where it will be perfect. I posted it on my FB page and am getting wonderful comments.
Thank you Caroline. Suzette Frederick, WA State USA.
